This bookshelf/bedside table was the perfect purchase! The parts are made of very durable, high-quality raw wood (no laminate). Fittings (8 screws) are also of very good quality. It only takes a few steps to assemble and the instructions are very easy to read and follow. There are several pre-drilled holes perfectly aligned for screw insertion. It took about 10 minutes to assemble including opening the box. This is a really good buy given the quality of the wood and the ease of assembly. I love that I can match the color to my current furniture. I haven't finished it yet (paint, stain or varnish?) but it looks like wood as is. polished smooth and without splinters. Very happy with this purchase!
