Granted my previous overhead opener dates back to 1997. This new opener is very very quiet and also fixed a major problem I had with the 1997 opener. The 1997 opener was installed OFF-Centered! Why? the installer apparently could not find a wood support behind the drywall for the opener. So they installed some feeble bracket allow the opener to be mounted off centered. Takes about 45 min to install. Super quiet and keeps the overhead space clear. Perfect for a car lift. Just be sure you have a plug within 6’.

The unit is compact and quiet. Easy to install. A great garage door opener that is superior to chain or belt driven ceiling mounted units. Worth the extra cost!

I increased the size of a garage door from 8' to 10' so I had to replace the opener. I did both door openers so they so they matched. time consuming somewhat but they sound great and work great.

I haven't installed yet due to conflicting instructions and the coupler provided. Critical measurements page says (B) distance from bearing plate and end of torsion bar shaft no less than 2 1/4 inches but the diagram on the same page says (B)=at least 4 inches. I needed an opener for a 10ft tall garage door. This was very easy to install and extremely quiet. Very happy with this purchase!

Installed this opener in less than two hours. Instructions were clear and easy. Programming door for fully open and fully closed was very easy. I have a 12ft. X 12ft. door, it opens and closes with ease. Wall mount garage door openers are the way to go.

Did this myself in 2 hours on a new high lift door. Actual unit install took maybe. 5 mins. Super easy lol. I spent 90% of my time hiding wires.My only comment. Is is seems slightly weak / slow. It is a BIG heavy door, however it has a large pulley system + heavy spring. Time will tell! Hence the 4 star rating.

This is the worse garage door I ever had! I called Technical Support and spoke to two technicians ( Jason and Caroline) the were incredibly Rood and disrespectful! I would not recommend this piece of "S” it’s terrible doesn’t work consistently! It stops in the middle, I have had two garage companies como out and check there advice take off wall and buy a new one, that is not Genie! What a waisted of money!

This is the best garage door opener I've ever owned. Super quiet and powerful. I'm using it on a 10x10 metal door and it does it with ease. Super compact size and easy one man install. There is nothing to dislike about this product. Going to buy another for my other door.

The instructions are poorly written, and the page numbers seem to be from an older version of the instruction booklet. My unit flashed an error code, and the troubleshooting guide said to go to page 18 and 19 for advice on re-adjusting up/down limits. Page 18 and 19 have nothing to do with up/down limits. All you hear is the door going up and coming down unlike the jerking and clattering of my old chain drive unit. Very easy install as well.

Installation was straightforward and problem free. My other jackshaft opener, on a double door, is a Liftmaster and was a more difficult install.Unit is quiet. Light is bright. Highly recommended over the ceiling mounts much easier installation.
