I purchased this sun shade over 18 months ago and it still looks brand new. I installed it over my patio seating area and it is up 24/7. It provides shade, but it is not waterproof. It is porous and lets rain through. But I didn’t buy it to stop the rain. I bought it to provide shade, and that it does! The angle of this heater is awful. You cant turn the head down enough to reach you if your sitting in a chair. I tried it in our living room where there is no breeze and couldn't even feel the heat while seated. It goes right over your head.
