I read a review that reported the smell and I was hoping it would be rare BUT – This wallet has a pretty strong chemical smell! It doesn't smell like leather and I'm not even sure if it's leather - I'm so disappointed as I thought I'd gotten the perfect leather wallet and for the price I'm really amazed - totally disappointed - I wish I had it had the best rating.
