I bought this humidifier for my bedroom. Its design is aesthetic and the large capacity is pleasant. The 5 year warranty also influenced my decision to buy from this company as my newest humidifier, the ubiquitous Crane White Drop Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier, started making annoying fan noises after it had already gone through a warranty replacement. I appreciate a company that cares about the quality of their products and I think a humidifier should last at least 5 years. Unfortunately HumeXL has a design flaw which is very disappointing for a product at this price point. There are two fog volume settings: high and low. After several hours of low-level work in my 300 square meter apartment. A hygrometer across the room* read over 60% humidity and I felt excessive humidity in the room. The ideal indoor humidity should be 40-50%, but with this humidifier there is no way to reduce the amount of mist - you only get high or low readings. In addition, touch keys often either react with a delay or not at all to my touch. low buttons so I decided to return HumeXL and buy Hume instead. The capacity is a bit smaller, but I'm willing to put up with it to get the right humidity level. I will post a review after trying it. * Don't worry about buying a humidifier with a built-in hygrometer/hygrostat. The hygrometer will always give inaccurate readings because the air directly around the humidifier is obviously more humid than the rest of the room.
