Review on Tru Colour - Spot Bandages: Brown Skin Tone Shade, Flexible Fabric Adhesive, 50 Count in Orange Bag by Ickey Case

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great skin tone but poor adhesion

I love that the shade they use is great for my boy's skin. Unfortunately, I found their glue just didn't work. Match their activity level (3 and 5 year olds). Yesterday I used two dots (on the same wound) and each of them fell off after an hour. I just tested the standard bandage and it holds up well on dry skin, but a drop of water got on one end of the bandage and it just fell off. But the dry end of the bandage held up well! Maybe the glue just needs some kind of waterproofing. The price per bandage is also significantly higher than many non-inclusive options and slightly higher than a similar product from well-known brands. I'm willing to pay a little more to support the BIPOC co-owners deal, but again the product needs a little improvement in terms of stickiness. Use less plastic in packaging? One side of the sterile packaging of each bandage is a polyethylene film, the bandages are supplied in a plastic bag. The product is labeled as "climate friendly" but I don't see any explanation on the product page, store page or company website as to why they have that label.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No effect
