The description says it took months to grind and hand polish. Not the set I had. It looks like they took the roughest grinding wheel available and sanded the tip onto it. Their tips were uneven, with large grooves left by a rough wheel. They weren't even close. with protruding petals and what should be a straight edge. It goes to show that if you don't like sharpening your tools, this isn't for you. They certainly weren't joking about it! But I expected them to care a little about what they send to the consumer. I've already started fixing the mess, reshaping and sharpening the tips, hoping it's at least good quality steel. The time will show. I don't mind sharpening tools and enjoying a razor blade, but I really didn't expect to have to reshape the tips before use. I currently do not recommend buying from this company. The first picture shows one of the uneven tips with a corner rounded to the right. It wasn't worse, but I had already altered the large notch to make it look like the tongue was sticking out. The second shows a "polished" surface that must have been sanded with gravel. I've worked on the worst ones at first and haven't gotten to this pair yet.
