Provides easier access but not for carpet
I change AV equipment 8-10 times a year as part of my work so I wanted to be able to easily fit into my Salamander rack (3 story -Twin). It allows me to do this and the blocking feature is very handy. However, if you're on carpet, they're actually very inefficient, although that shouldn't come as much of a surprise. They're a bit more expensive, like everything Salamander makes, but they're high quality and do the job.
