Good Jack, But Not Perfect

Update: I was able to rotate the jack 180 degrees so the tailgate was out of the way and the jack works fine. Happy about it! 2 small disappointments; You can no longer use a hard propane cap because the jack will interfere with it, so you must use a soft cap. Secondly, the light from the socket no longer shines where it should, but it should still be reasonably decent in the dark. Two small problems in the big picture! Basically satisfied. So far I've only used it at home, so I'll update this review. I'm very disappointed in the fact that this thing is for trailers which are most likely hooked up to a pickup, but Lippert couldn't figure out that you can't lower the tailgate once hooked up to a tractor because of that jack is too bulky and interferes with the tailgate! Where is the quality control and design management? There's a lot of discussion about this online, so I'll see if I can rearrange the jack in a practical way. PRACTICAL should be the key for people designing. We have a canopy pickup and towing a trailer. We have dogs in a kennel in the back of our truck. We usually make rest stops for dogs and for ourselves on our routes. If we can't get the tailgate down because the new jack we installed is in the way, it's very difficult to get dogs over 80 pounds to pee. It is also difficult to load the platform of our truck to go camping when the tailgate does not come down due to interference. with our new jack! Updated shortly after I've spent my valuable time redesigning what should already be a flawlessly designed product.

Pros
  • Powerful Solution - Features a 2-to-7 power system so campers can use the switchable accessory cord to connect their jack to the towing vehicle rather than defueling their RV or manually lifting and lowering the RV have to . And when you're done, stow the cord in your jack's built-in storage compartment to protect it from damage.
