Review on Jardin Bubble Release Aquarium Plastic by Jana Bramlage

He doesn't stay down!

The plant is decent, the bubbles are good BUT when you combine those air bubbles with a plastic plant, it's impossible to keep the plant at the bottom of the aquarium, especially since the bubble stone is nowhere near heavy enough to to suppress it. First I tried to cover the base of the plant with gravel. I had a huge pile and it was STILL slowly rising to the top of the tank, the movement of the bubbles caused the gravel to move away from the air stone and it rose. My second thought was to use a ground air sucker near the bottom of the plant. Two problems with this idea, first, as the bubbles moved the bottom of the airstone rig, they continued to rise to the top of the tank. I lowered the suction cup as low as possible to keep the plant from floating, unless I wanted it to be pressed firmly against the wall of the aquarium, there was still enough air line to make the plant float, although at that point it was only suspended about two inches off the bottom, at least it didn't float to the top of the tank. I love the basic idea of bubbles combined with a plant, but this particular plant needs serious improvement to make it work AND look cute. At the moment I taped a very expensive plastic plant to the aquarium wall to keep it from floating away.
