Bought another one after the purchase. I love it! The seller was very helpful and was always in touch to make sure the light was working properly. It took a few tries to connect it to my home network, but once worked like a champ. You just have to be a little patient and follow the instructions. When the light transitions from cyclic colors to solid colors, the connection is established, although the application reports that it failed. (Also the problem was that I downloaded the Magic Home Wifi app. You MUST download the Magic Home Pro app for it to work. It still says the connection failed but that doesn't matter). Just restart the app and you're done. walk. It changed the world and solved the problem. Both light bars show up in the Magic Home Pro app (device area) on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Android) when in range of the controller. You can only control one strip at a time, but both can be manually set to the same color. The app allows you to customize the colors (the sky's the limit!) and save them in the app so you can customize (or mix and match) the LED strips as you see fit. This is a GREAT ALTERNATIVE to expensive Philips RGB WiFi Bands and I think it works the same way. I don't have a Philips strip but I have to say that the Nexlux LED strip has exceeded my expectations and more. I fixed my lamps under the wooden cabinets in the kitchen and found that the glue is not that sticky and will come off over time. However, I used some superglue (and temporary thin tape) to secure it in place and fixed the problem. I bought these strips in October and have had no problems so far. Overall I am very happy with this product and recommend it to anyone who wants to accent the spaces in their home with the same quality at half the price of its competitor.
