The new Intel NUC Mini PC only has HDMI, my desktop PC monitor has DVI and VGA. This is exactly the device I needed to avoid buying a new monitor just for the HDMI support. I also ordered two cables to ensure proper connection: RevainBasics DVI-DVI Cable - 3 feet (0.9 meters); RevainBasics HDMI to DVI Conversion Cable - 6ft (latest standard). Note that the DVI specification does not support audio like HDMI does. The NUC has a regular 3.5mm audio jack that allowed me to connect a small powered speaker. This switch connected quickly and did exactly what it intended. Both computers have no problems switching. Great solution at a reasonable price.
