Review on Old Friend Loafer Slipper Chestnut by Damon Fuqua

COLOR CHANGE on loafers and slippers

I have been buying Old Friend Chestnut Moccasins for a number of years, they were worn for about 2 years before being replaced. They would probably last longer if I didn't wear them around the house, indoors and out, during routine maintenance or when relaxing. Recently I needed a replacement - the rubber sole literally started breaking into small pieces that I didn't have before. After finding out that the chestnut had gone up to around $70 in price but the dark brown version was under $55, the brown wasn't an issue and I liked the price difference. The new slippers fit a little differently than the previous ones as while the length was perfect the area around my ankle (from the back to the tip of the slipper) was quite loose. This required a simple tightening of the top lace and all was well. Compared to the cheaper full sized slippers often sold in plastic tubes, they are soft, stretchy and comfortable for my arthritic feet. Although I pay a few euros more for it, the convenience is worth it. Raised by parents living in the final years of the Great Depression, I grew up almost as tight as paper on the wall, which means that while I love the slippers, price comparison is a must no matter what I buy. . You were worth it to me. A higher price would have earned 5 stars.
