Not a Tumbler fan - LONG REVIEW from current owner of multiple Lug Life products

I was looking for an EDC (wear every day) for my new full time job. I work from home in the office and need to be productive on my lunch break so I wanted something smaller than my Lug Puddle Jumper backpack which feels way too big for everyday use. I ordered the Tumbler and this is what I think: PROS: - The size was perfect, about 1 1/2 inches shorter than the Puddle Jumper which can be a big difference in load. - As always, Lug products offer plenty of pockets for almost anything, which is always a plus. As always Lug products have that amazing zipper that allows you to get in and out with just one hand compared to many other bags/backpacks with cheap sticky zippers. . That's huge for a mom trying to multitask or hold a baby while trying to pack a backpack. CONS: - relative: the main compartment of the bag has a front flap of the main compartment when open. This part is stiff and tall, so it's difficult to get in or see in when it's on a high countertop, like the kitchen countertop (where I pack my bags). This front does not fold easily so I can climb into the backpack if it sits high. The back of the main compartment slopes so slightly that while the front is stiff, the back falls away. All this is due to the direction of the lightning. Because the zipper slopes backwards, it doesn't support the back of the main compartment, making it difficult to load/pull things out of the pack with one hand since you're now using the other hand to hold the back flap open. Basically, the front and rear flaps of the "main compartment" have to be swapped. Your back should always feel supported while you can enter from the front of the pack, but this pack MUST enter from the back, which is very odd for most people. We usually pack a backpack with the front pockets facing our body. The padding on the straps wasn't as soft as the Puddle Jumper which was a real shame because I had the same items from my Puddle Jumper as this tumbler and actually the tumbler. felt heavier and not as comfortable on the back, but technically the PJ is larger and therefore weighs more than the Tumbler! - The front pocket flap is so stiff I could feel the cardboard inside. I would have liked something more liquid. I'm also not a fan of cross stitching on most Lug Life products. I still buy because of the functionality and high quality of their products, but honestly I wish they would do away with it so that modern women can enjoy bags that just don't look like those diaper bags. I'm 41 and although I have a 3 year old I got rid of his diaper bag because now I'm ready for a bag that I can just pop a diaper or two in while we run errands. CONCLUSION: I'm sending the Tumbler back and keeping my Puddle Jumper for now until I find the perfect EDC backpack for work. I have about 5 Lug Life products left so remember to always shop at home and try to make sure items can be returned and if you are buying used items on eBay make sure you know what you need. I love it because you can't return most used items. from ebay.
