Review on πŸ”’ Wingkind Non-Slip Grips 96-Piece Pack for Quilting Rulers & Templates - Enhance Precision & Control by Doris Tran

Too thick but an easy fix or alternative.

It stuck well, was easy enough to put on and definitely kept my rulers in place. BUT I didn't like her. That. It drove me crazy Thickness was particularly problematic when cutting already assembled parts. Due to the thickness of the spacers these have to be put damn close together or they can pull on the fabric in case of seam resistance as the fabric is 'pinched' by the spacers but can still stretch very easily (especially bevel cutting) in the gaps between the pin areas , which the ruler does not touch. I added more stickers but ended up using my rulers upside down for a week to decide if they were usable. Finally I pulled them off. And there was a leftover layer in the form of a sticker. I decided not to clean it right away for fear of ruining the painted marks on the bottom of my ruler. And then a HAPPY OCCASION. . . I was in a hurry to finish a large patchwork quilt project and the scraps were causing the ruler to stick to the fabric, but I ignored it and ended up realizing that the lint in the fabric had basically taken the sticky residue and there was some texture but no stickiness. I now have a no volume grip and they work great - clumps of leftovers and lint - no pads! A bit messy but effective! I would SKIP them and use translucent double sided tape which I believe gives the same result for less.

Pros
  • Quilting
Cons
  • So far so good
