Almost anything can be connected to speakers. It is especially convenient to connect the TV via hdmi. The volume, turning on and off the speakers in this case are carried out either from the TV remote control, or (as in my case) from the Apple TV remote control in general. The speaker remote is only needed to switch the source or adjust the sound adjustment. However, in this case, no adjustments are required, the speakers easily work out any recordings at all frequencies, with a margin, from thunderous bass to very high frequencies. Subjectively, the frequency response is flat, but there is a small dip at the level of 250-300 Hz (purely by ear), perhaps at the level of the bass speaker cut-off by the crossover.
