Every now and then you really get exactly what you're looking for. Where I live there are frequent power outages and I wanted a battery powered lamp to be used for reading. I also build and paint plastic models and needed a bright enough light to keep my hobby going during power outages. The thing is perfect for this purpose! The light from the lamp is bright but not glaring and just enough to show fine details when I'm building models or painting. I specifically wanted a lamp using standard batteries as I can't charge the lamp well if I don't have electricity. When I started looking, I found that almost everything runs on rechargeable batteries, so I was very pleased when I found this one. I was also happy that it comes with an AC adapter so I can plug it in when the device is on. I plugged it in and now use it like a normal desktop even when it's on.
