This is not a reason to postpone the purchase.
It makes life so much easier. Before that I used a measuring cup to pour and spill into each container and it took forever. It was the easiest game I've ever made. Not only did it go over all the holders like I thought, but only one at a time and it was still the fastest and cleanest batch. Mine didn't leak but I've been doing this for a few years now and I know lip balm leaks if the bottom isn't all the way down. So I made sure each container was screwed all the way down and each one was seated securely in the container.
