Since two GSDs fall throughout the year, I came up with this product. My poor vacuum cleaner takes a heavy toll every time, not to mention having to deal with dogs who want to eat the vacuum cleaner. I've found that I get the best results on pile rugs by using the side of the mop first to scrape away the loose fur, and then the brush. This takes effort though, so I just pull the side of the mop toward me and push the side of the brush away from me. In any case, it collects excess hair and saves my vacuum cleaner from a lot of strain. As there is no electricity I can use it for spot cleaning without attack dogs. The grip could have been better. It easily detaches and returns to its original position. The stick's standard length is too short and if you don't lengthen it, it will cause back strain. If there was a better way to lock the handle this would definitely be a five star product.
