Review on Nokian Tires Nordman 7 205/55 R16 94T winter by Agata Warda ᠌

Return my money! Disgusting product and poor quality.

In my twenty years of riding, this is the unluckiest rubber I've ever encountered. The first reason I bet on Nokian is because their official website doesn't provide a comprehensive explanation and comparison of the various tire models they manufacture. Hakkapelita, for instance, is city-appropriate, latitude-independent, point-based, etc. + a general description in free form., Nordman, such and such features. As it turns out, the customer is typically confused because, after all, more expensive and cheaper models exist for a reason. Second, I would not recommend purchasing rubber. When I initially threw some in the trunk, I could feel how soft it was in my hands. I'm intrigued; it seems like it'll move supplely enough; but after putting on my shoes, I noticed that it's so supple that, when driving, you experience a lag in the responsiveness of the controls during a turn, as if a bit of jelly had been sprinkled on the wheels. This creates a misleading sensation of skidding, and although I could comfortably handle speeds of 120–140 km/h on my old rubber, I find that the sweet spot for this rubber is 100–120 km/h on a powdery road before the ride starts to grow in tension. Thirdly, noise is detectable even at slow speeds; this particular hum begins around 40-60 km/h and is extremely comparable to the wear noise of wheel bearings. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone, and from now on I won't be accepting any further freebies from Nokian, electronic or otherwise.

Pros
  • False merit
Cons
  • 1. clumsy and inaccurate performance regardless of pace The noise is coming from 40-60 km/h spikes and a rumble.
