This is a beautiful silk cushion cover. I ordered the standard size gray version and it fits my pillow perfectly. Gray is a rich dark color that shimmers in the light. I have several 19mm silk pillowcases and they look and feel very nice, but are slightly lighter than this 22mm pillowcase. This will be more durable over time. 100% natural silk is finely woven, has a substantial weight and is soft and very smooth to the touch. The outside of the fabric has the sheen that woven charmeuse silk is famous for, while the inside has a matte finish. The silk fibers used in the manufacture of this pillowcase are of the highest grade 6A. A nylon zipper with a small metal tab on one end keeps the pillowcase from slipping off the pillow at night. It works smoothly and is designed to be out of sight and hair won't get caught in the zipper teeth. The silk is beautiful and the pillowcase is well tailored, the stitching is even if not as neat as expected. This cushion cover is not to be confused with a premium brand, but is of good quality and very suitable for everyday use. The care label recommends hand washing (preferred) or machine washing (gentle), but the pillowcase should not be tumble dried. Over the years I have had the good fortune to hand wash all my silks and then hang them indoors to dry as silk should not be exposed to the sun. I love sleeping on silk pillowcases and it's always nice to find a good quality pillowcase at an affordable price. The current price is $19 which is very reasonable for this nicely designed silk pillowcase.
