Ideal! Actually better than perfect!

The pedal that came with my sewing machine has a pedal cord that was about 4 inches shorter than I am on the table as I am a 6 foot fellow with back problems and not a little old lady I raised the sewing machine so as not to bend over. I bought this so I could take the cable and solder the wires together to make the cable longer. but as it turns out this one has a 6" longer cord so I'll just use it and I don't have to bundle the cord together! Thanks YICBO!
