detergent cleans our clothes like most other brands . I only bought this because it's cheaper than the Gain or Tide pods I usually buy, but nobody in my house likes the smell. The smell is very strong and my daughter said it smelled like Arm & Hammer cat litter. I wore a shirt that I washed with this detergent and I smelled like cat litter all day and my eyes stung until I changed clothes. We also found that we couldn't wear perfume because the smell of the detergent collided with the perfume and the combination of scents gave both me and my daughter migraines. Even my dental hygienist asked me not to use my perfume because she got a headache straight away and I told her it was just my detergent and I'm not wearing any perfume that day and mentioned my daughter says it smelled like cat litter and mine The hygienist also agreed, saying it was pretty awful. I wish I had had more positives besides the good price but it just didn't work out for us. I left what was left in the package in the laundry. I hope others have a better experience than me. Now that I think about it, I could probably just run the laundry through the rinse cycle again to see if that reduces the overwhelming smell.
