This is a very strong plastic and it works well for us. The fact that it screws vertically is a must because we have obsessive chewers. I feel safe putting this on and walking for a while. The silicone mat doesn't hold up. A few things to keep in mind: Because of gravity, thicker pastas, pies, and yogurts are preferred. If your box or kenn is made of heavy gauge wire, this may not work. The screw part is not as long as I thought. The caliber fits our XL and XXL wire boxes. It also works best when placed over a horizontal bar. Not necessarily so that it stays after you set it up, but more so that you have a little decency when you set it up. I would definitely recommend this for pit rest or pit training or even general enrichment and coverts. Freezes easily and cleans up well in the dishwasher. The price is comparable to most others.
