I was so startled to see black spots on the crust when I poured egg fat on it that I forgot to take a picture because I immediately threw it in the trash. Also the next egg wash strip (not sure why I tried again) was completely GRAY. This was only the second time I've used the smallest pastry brush and I washed them all first - but look at that 5 star review! Has anyone had such a confusing, horrific experience? Now I have to throw everyone else out. Black spots on pastries. HOW TOTALLY disgusting.
