Review on Tie-Dye With NODDWAY: 10 Vibrant Colors In 1 Kit For Fun Group Crafting And Parties! by Brian Forbis

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Okay, better than Tulip - Revised review: will not buy/use again

No contents listed on the dye containers (there was some power in the dyes that looked like pepper and silver flakes) so no clue what's in the bottle (is there soda ash in there?). There's no info as to proportion of dye to water for mixing purposes. I used these for an ice dye, the powder came out of the bottles in clumps and didn't spread well on the damp t-shirt. It started separating almost immediately but the project has been sealed for the next 48 hours so I won't know more until next week. I'll update then but for now just two stars.Revision: used the dye and didn't like it even after another attempt. The dye was really clumpy, difficult to control the application and the blues didn't hold in the fabric (even with a second soda ash application). Will not buy again.Edit - the ice-dyed t-shirt came out pretty well. I added soda ash after the dye was applied to the shirt and the colors stayed pretty true after curing while sitting in muck. I'm still not very happy with the way the dye handles out of the tiny bottles or the lack of instructions/product info but the end product comes out better than those with the Tulip dyes. Gonna try the Dharma dyes next.

Pros
  • The NODDWAY tie-dye kit offers a wide variety of vibrant colors, perfect for group crafting and parties, allowing everyone to show off their unique style and personality
Cons
  • The tie-dye process can be messy and may require a dedicated workspace, which may not be feasible for everyone
