The rope itself was fine. it was a little rougher than the "nicer" sisal rope, but usable. The color turned out browner than I thought. Much browner than in the photo, not quite beige. The smell was TERRIBLE. Grandma couldn't handle it at all. I kept it by the front door, ready to use, and she could smell it all over the living room. I left it outside for 3 months in the winter to see if it would air out. It's not like this. Not at all. It still smells exactly the same. There's no way I can use this in my house. So it stays out there forever or until I get the courage to throw it in the bin.
