One of the best 3 channel DVRs you can buy

I am upgrading a Ventrue N2 Pro DVR to a new N4 DVR. hit me from behind and pushed my car into the car in front of me. If there is no clear evidence as to who caused the accident, a three-car crash can be a messy lawsuit. With camera footage, it's very easy to determine who is at fault and you don't have to worry about a lawsuit. Since the N2 Pro doesn't have a rear camera, I decided to upgrade and try the Vantrue N4 dash cam. I'm very impressed with the N4 for the price and video quality. The video quality is great, no matter day or night, you will get better video compared to other dash cams. The front camera is either 2K or 1440P, while the body and rear cameras are either FHD or 1080P, all at 30 fps. and you can buy a cable kit so it can monitor your car 24/7 which i did. All dashcam specifications can be found on the Revain page. So here is my take on the pros and cons of this PRO1 dash cam. Video quality is impressive, I can get good video from all three camera lenses day or night. A clean front and rear window are also very important. The night vision is so clear both inside and outside the car. With the new CMOS sensor and F1.4 aperture on the front, night videos are very clear. and 4 IR LEDs for the interior camera help you see everything in the car and at night.2. The dash cam takes up to 256GB micro SD card as you have 3 lenses running at the same time and at full resolution, 3 minute clips from all 3 cameras are around 700MB, you will need a large SD card. all videos.3. A supercapacitor instead of a tiny battery is a must in hot or cold weather. I have had many other dashcams with a tiny battery, none of these dashcams last long in extremely hot weather. In the summer, the temperature inside the car can reach 150-160F, those tiny batteries won't last the summer. The capacitor is weather resistant and I don't have to worry about a dead DVR when I need it.4. The large LED screen is a godsend because now you have a 3 camera view, the large LED makes it easy to read. and you can switch between 3 different cameras on the main screen for monitoring. Easy to manage and view the clip.5. Connecting the rear camera is surprisingly easy. I was apprehensive about hooking up a rear dash cam to my car, but after watching youtube videos and reading other reviews I was able to do it in 15 minutes. Maybe my Camry is easy to make, I had no problem hiding all the wires and making it look good.CON1. No Wi-Fi or app support. I think that in today's age of digital technology and smartphones, the dashboard should have fast wireless access to video content for download and sharing.2. No internal GPS support. Built-in GPS is a good feature, you need to buy a GPS mount if you want to receive GPS data on dash cam.3. No Y-cable for power and connection to rear DVR. You need to run two cables to the main NVR, one for the rear camera on the side of the main unit and another cable to power the main camera mounting block. Too bad there is no Y-cable, I can connect both USB-C ports to have only one cable to connect to the main unit.4. Video in h.265 codec format, if you have an old computer, it may not support h.265 format. I understand why they need to use h.265 codec because all 3 cameras in 2K or FHD increase video size and h.265 has better efficiency compared to h.264. So don't be surprised if you try to watch 2K video on your 8 year old laptop, the video won't play, you can still connect the dash cam directly to your 60" TV with a micro HDMI cable. You can also upload it to YouTube and it will re-encode the video but you will lose the quality of the video. Overall: The Vantrue N4 is a very good upgrade from the N2 Pro and one of the best 3 channel dash cams you can buy. in the shop. If you need a DVR for your car, don't settle for a cheap camera that will fail in a year, get the N4 and make sure it works with clear video every time you start the engine . if you need it
