Review on 📱 Lifeproof Fre Series Compatible Encased Belt Clip Holster for iPhone XR 6.1" (case not included) by Kim Savage

I tried LifeProof's Quickmount but found it to be an unreliable and minimalistic holster replacement. A week later, I groped for the Encased holster for the LifeProof Fre iPhone XR case and noticed that my holster is slightly smaller than the LifeProof Fre case specs, but fits well. The full back provides good screen protection in case the holster is dropped. Speaking of which, the belt clip didn't impress with its little lip that would slide up and off the belt under pressure as if you were crouching, leaning over, or leaning into the holster. My wife used it with the shoulder strap and it fell off due to the weight of the phone and any simple action like tilting. The old LifeProof holsters had a hook (instead of an eyelet) that prevented this. Also, the top clip has two problems. It does not lock, so the phone could be yanked out or accidentally knocked out of the holster. And if you're using a stand and flipping your phone over for a TV view, the top clip won't fit snugly, but it will hold the phone in place. The stator spring also tends to pop out. It took 7 months for my top clamp to break, 10 months for my wife making both beyond repair. I replaced them with Beltron, who also make a LifeProof XR pouch holster and have a more secure belt clip (i.e. larger lip).
