I finally had good weather and today I was able to test these shirts for the first time. They have a pocket for a phone but it is not suitable for this purpose. When you put your phone in your pocket, the phone slides down and rubs your knee when you run. This process tightens the shorts at the same time, so you have to put the shorts on again and again. You have the right idea, it just doesn't work in practice. On the plus side, they're comfortable, true to size, and fashionable, and they're great for other uses.
