I had an expensive mandolin that was so difficult to clean. Also, it was bulky and took up too much space in my small kitchen. So I ordered this little food slicer and was very satisfied. I use it almost every day to make the most amazing salads. I can chop lettuce like lettuce into hoagies. I slice cucumbers thin as paper. I chopped celery, onion and green peppers. And best of all, it's easy to clean. Its thin profile is a close second - it takes up almost no space. Thank you for a great product.
