Works great! But this is not aged cast iron and needs to be aged! There are two ways to do this in a cast iron skillet. Just pour some oil into the press pan and then pour some oil over it! Heat for an hour or more over medium-high heat. And you can unscrew the wooden handle and make it in the oven! If you wash it after use, be sure to dry it and reapply the oil! I use rapeseed oil, it's very good for high temperatures and tastes natural! For storage, I use an aluminum cake pan and place a paper plate on top to keep it from making a mess and never rusting the press.
