Review on Frida Mom Postpartum Recovery Essentials Kit: Disposable Underwear, Ice Maxi Absorbency Pads, Cooling Witch Hazel Medicated Pad Liners & Perineal Healing Foam. by Michael Langelius

New Momma! The Cooling Pads just didn’t work for me, but everything else helped!

I am 2 days post partum, so this is a very raw and honest review. I do appreciate that I bought this box of goodies to help my discomfort. I delivered naturally… I didn’t tear on the outside but I did tear inside, which caused me to have some stitches. Therefore, I’m burning while peeing and sitting down is very, very uncomfortable. The cooling pads just did not work for me. The "cooling, ice pack” part of it was great for about 30 minutes then it just goes away. The problem with the cooling pads for me is that they have some air in it so when I sit down it’s pushing up on me and causing me way more discomfort. I used two of them and figured a regular pad with the perineal cooling wipe and the cooling witch hazel foam would be more comfortable, and it was! My regular period pads soak up my bleeding way better than the cooling pads as well. Every-time I wore the cooling pads I had to change the disposable underwear because the blood leaked onto the underwear. Not with my regular pad though… BUT let’s talk about the disposable underwear! Love them! I am 5’11 and a half and 243 at 39 weeks pregnant so I am not a tiny lady and the underwear fit nice and tight and snug, love them. The peri bottle is amazing, way better than the hospital one… use warmer water! I hope this helps anyone! I was going to buy more cooling pads before I gave birth because I thought I would run out with just the 4 but I’m actually not going to use the last two because they just didn’t work for me. Good luck with the new baby!
