I started using this wire for a few projects with big temperature changes but it makes life so much easier and now I use it for everything. The big difference between using this wire and the cheaper PVC coated wire is that you don't have to waste time trying to route the wire properly, through tight passages or other tight spots. PVC jacketed wire is too stiff, especially for large diameters. When it's cold, it's even worse. This material never gets that hard, even when it's cold. In addition, high temperature resistance ensures that the insulation does not melt if something goes wrong in the device. The wires remain protected and flexible even with crazy temperature fluctuations. Yes, it costs more, but how much is your time worth? How much does it cost to avoid the frustration of running wire that won't bend? How much does it cost to be calm in the knowledge that your insulation is unlikely to melt and dangerous levels of current will be exposed to possible short circuits? It's really hard to go back to using cheap PVC material after you've used it a few times. Think of it as another way to reduce stress and anxiety in your life. Highly recommended.
