After several weeks of use the leg opening mechanism on one of the legs stopped working. Two of the legs can be opened to allow the tripod to be lowered towards the ground, but one of them gets stuck in the closed position. Therefore, I can only use this tripod in a fixed position. I removed my foot to inspect it and found the spring trigger was stuck and not moving. It's so disappointing after paying $300 for this tripod. I would recommend looking for other brands of tripods than this one. Or maybe you're luckier than me. **Update** August 2018 Vanguard has offered me a replacement if I ship my tripod to Michigan, USA. I live in the Caribbean and shipping costs me $400. It would be cheaper to just buy a spare leg, but Vanguard is out of stock. What a disappointment this product has caused.
