Very nice but there is vibration

This tripod is extremely versatile but the downside of this device is that it is not completely stable as it allows for vibrations. This vibration is a side effect of versatility. So you have to balance that against your goal. It meets 98% of my needs as I don't use slow shutter speeds very often and when I do I can still use my tripod in a more stable configuration. I really like the markings and the locks on the legs. This tripod is very well made and should last me a very long time. It's not

Wow. Great tripod at an affordable price.

Robust, reliable, well made. Very versatile with many adjustments. Everything stays tight when you put it on. I am using a third party baffle. Be careful which tripod model you order as some are included and some are not. If everything is properly tightened, it won't wobble even with the B-pillar extended. Filmed for about 30 seconds along a busy highway with 18 wheeled tractors. 65 mph and still crisp images. Her passage was enough to blow my hair out, but the camera didn't move. It's not…

Nice but build quality isn't the best

After several weeks of use the leg opening mechanism on one of the legs stopped working. Two of the legs can be opened to allow the tripod to be lowered towards the ground, but one of them gets stuck in the closed position. Therefore, I can only use this tripod in a fixed position. I removed my foot to inspect it and found the spring trigger was stuck and not moving. It's so disappointing after paying $300 for this tripod. I would recommend looking for other brands of tripods than this one. Or…

Amazing Tripod Best Tripod Set

I bought this tripod to replace the tripod I have been using since 1993. When I unboxed it, I was very impressed with the build quality. Extremely smooth articulation. The tripod looks well made and easily supports the weight of my DSLR with my heaviest lens. I was a bit concerned about the quality due to some negative reviews, but now my concern has been replaced by joy. I am very happy that I made this purchase. If you're still thinking about ordering this I wouldn't hesitate. Remember that…

Pros
  • Very Fast Shipping
Cons
  • Crumpled

I use an old Manfrotto metal tripod, a few inches taller and heavier, for real estate photography. I needed something smaller when folded but still with a sturdy support. The steep spots I can put this tripod on are really great, but when I push it higher with the main stand, even the 2 second timer isn't quite enough to stop at the tremor for a longer exposure shot with a DSLR . Probably perfect for smaller cameras, but 6d and 16-35mm are way too big to keep it from wobbling in light winds…

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not what I expected

**Updated 10/30/2018 Received new tripod for Pro 2+ 263AB100. Very disappointed with this MACC. I don't know why people are praising this model and saying it's durable, but it's not. The replacement I received is also wobbly and the MACC scratches the center column when raising or lowering it. Not sure if this is a bad batch or if it applies to all Alta Pro2+. This was my first experience with Vanguard products, will now be looking at other brands. ---------------- Looks like I received a used…

Some basic functions make loving difficult

I was very excited about this tripod as it is my first high-end tripod as I get more serious about my photography. The build quality seems really great and I love the versatility of the center speaker. However, one of the biggest downsides that might end up making me hate the tripod is the "half" blockage (for lack of a better term) for the legs. If you lock the legs at 20 degrees, they can still move to zero, so only extension locks them. So let's say you rotate them 40 degrees or even more…

Update: Don't buy this, design flaws and terrible customer service

Another update, a guy named Thomas called me to troubleshoot and saw problems. He offered another replacement from their lineup or a refund. I checked but they are all similar so I asked for a refund which he offered which wasn't even my idea I just wanted a working product. A few days later I got a call from a lady named Nancy with the intention of basically cutting the call off and telling me to go to the Amazon. since it was the third tripod, the time for the return of the amazone is over. I

Worst experience ever. What's the matter with you, Vanguard?

Probably the worst experience I've ever had with Revain and this particular product. . I ordered this product for the first time on August 17th and received it 2 days later as promised. I was so excited about it and looking forward to unboxing and using it. But when I opened the package the box looked like new but it was unsealed. The tripod has small dents and scratches indicating it has been used before and was returned by someone else (it may be a refurbished item). . But here comes the…
