TRS to TRS with small lock works exactly as I hoped. I'm not sure I'll always want to use a locking connection, but if you're connecting a pair of TRS connectors to be thrown in a rack or stacked behind a console, it's certainly nice to know nothing will break the connection. coincidentally. I expect them to last as long as I need them, but the little lock looks like a potential weak link in the signal chain---I don't abuse my gear, but I use it diligently and expect to. for work---I think they will fit me and I'm not really worried about them, I just wanted to mention that the little lock is a plastic tab but I'm not entirely sure how it would be constructed otherwise. Anyway, I have several versions of this type of connector and they pass the signal without noise and make a reliable connection.
