We've had a lot of rain this year and in the past have had a noticeable musty/musty smell from the underfloor heating grilles. And we checked the crawl space, no mold. Just an old, stinky, damp smell. This season we tried charcoal bags and they really seem to work. The ground outside is still swampy, so I have to assume we're just as damp under the house, but the sacks of coal around the vents seem to have done their job. I can't say much about the "longevity" since we've only had it for about two weeks. But for now everything is fine!
