Very small for my son to wear with a cord around his neck. I like that they have little dots to easily hook the lanyard. The range seems normal. He goes a block to play and we have no problem.

We got this because we moved my elderly bedridden mother with us. If she needs anything in the middle of the night, she can call us over the radio. They work very well and the battery life is really good.

One of the walkie talkies makes a crazy annoying malfunctioning noise from time to time. This is fixed by removing and reinserting the batteries. The sound quality isn't great, but it's not bad either. I think for the price I paid ($18 on sale) it was good.

Although the product description wasn't a lie I thought it meant batteries OR 9AAA batteries. For the extra $10 that some similar walkie talkies cost, I could have actual rechargeable walkie talkies out of the box. So we are doomed to misunderstandings.

The packaging states that these are children's walkie-talkies with radio. Considering they have rudimentary encryption, they're definitely great for adults. I use them to communicate with my team at Psychiatry so I don't have to run down the halls looking for someone. You are perfect and safe.

Terrible! None worked out of the box. return for refund. Edit: The seller contacted me after I posted the above review and offered to send a replacement set. The new kit worked perfectly right out of the box. We didn't get a chance to use them as a target for a first purchase, came and went but the seller was very responsive and generous.

They work very well for the price. I have a little problem, changing channels is a pin in the ass. I still can't get any of them to switch. It clicks but then goes back to channel 1. We only use it on that channel but catch other people from time to time so would be nice to switch! Otherwise it was a good buy. The quality is excellent and they are small! We use them to talk to our neighbors (my parents). kids love them!

These Retevis RT38 radios are excellent FRS HT radios that perform and sound much better than their price suggests. I was completely amazed at how well these radios work and how well made they are. I quickly ordered another set for my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.
