These things only cost around $11-12 including shipping. Even at Walmart you can't get something that cheap. I wasn't expecting much as they are about as cheap as running shoes can be. But after about a month of wearing they still work and haven't fallen apart. The soles are very soft (which I expected) so they wear out quickly. However, given the price, the carrying cost makes them a GREAT VALUE. Don't expect to hike for years and take huge city walks, but these are great running shoes and worth the minimal cost. Size tip: bottom line; Order your normal size, but if you can't I can take a half size up. I bought a size 8.5 - I usually wear 8. They fit well. I would say they are true to size and a little longer than I usually wear at 8 which is expected. So I would say they are true to size. (because I bought 1/2 size larger than my norm as that was all that was available). But even though I ordered the wrong size, when I tighten them they are fine and the heel doesn't slip.
