I finally treat myself to this backdrop after torturing myself with crumpled muslin or cheap 6x9 vinyl backdrops framed by curtains. I run a photo booth for various charity events that include everything from state legislatures to high school dances. But let's be honest, I just always wanted to have a huge wall of gold sequins at my disposal! My setup: In the attached photos, my backdrop stand is a cheap 10ft sedan from Amazon and I used square perfect flash/strobe lighting and LED hot shoe lighting in a dark gym. My camera is a Canon T2i (don't judge me. It's all for charity!) The backdrop stand definitely sagged in the middle due to its weight, so you might want to consider investing in something heavier. Weight: total. , the background has a good weight. It certainly doesn't see through, but if there was any light behind it at all I'd use a muslin protector on the back. Quality: Mine had a few "bald spots" with no glitter so I can't give it 5 stars. However, since I was using a 20ft rack on a 10ft cab, I was able to just hide it in the folds. It crumbles a little during assembly and disassembly. Photographer's Notes: The only thing I noticed about the (gold) background is that your subjects will turn yellow in the photos if they are too close. I put tape about 2ft in front of the background and people stood on it which fixed this problem. Ease of Use: Two people are required to fold, so keep that in mind. The tip of the bar isn't reinforced with an interface either, so there's a real risk of tearing it when you try to put it on the bar. Just go slow and everything will be fine.
