Looked like a good engraver, really wanted to like it and we liked all the interchangeable heads but there was a wiring issue when we first put the batteries in. Turning on the element only worked sometimes and you had to hold it at the right angle and press or else it would turn off. I wrote that it didn't work and got a refund right away. I decided not to get another one because I didn't have much confidence that the same thing wouldn't happen again.

Save your money folks, this product doesn't work. I bought this engraver on June 13th this year, the plans were to engrave the bottom of 2 bells. I recently witnessed the deaths of my younger brother and eldest son, I wanted to make a chime in their memory, but because I was so mourning the loss I just couldn't attempt it until yesterday. Just bought a second one. Because I have one in my work truck and one in my workshop. I mainly use them to put identification information on my tools. They're easy to use, but you have to be careful not to push too hard as they don't spin very hard. But I haven't had to change the tips in a few years. And most of my metal engravings. I haven't had any issues with blown switches or motors. I think it's important to put my name on every instrument. I bought it on, how long the warranty is etc…
