I bought these boots in March 2020 after my horse kicked his foot and developed a small splint. Wanting to prevent him from injuring himself again while riding, I looked for boots that wouldn't rub or let dirt get in, and my trainers told me they had had no success with any of the boots they used in races. past for these reasons. I spoke to my vet about this and she told me about the Back on Track boots. She has a 17 handed Andalusian Friesian cross and loves these boots. She got out and pulled them out of the car so I could see the quality. She said she uses them on her horse when she rides 6 to 8 hours a week, washes them in the washing machine on the gentle cycle when needed and has never had a problem. I have a Paso Fino 14.2 so these boots looked really HUGE and she laughed and told me they come in different sizes and I should probably go for the small one. I went home and bought a black pair of Revains and I have to say my vet was right. These boots were GREAT and I had no issues with them. I love the way they fit and that they completely cover the shins. They don't get dirt that would rub my horse's skin and these boots are thick enough not to damage the tendons. They do not move after wearing, so the skin does not chafe. I place them top to bottom. The velcro is very strong, so much so that it can be a little tricky getting it off at the bottom where it wraps around the putty lock, but I either take his leg and undo the bottom velcro like that, or walk towards the other side . and loosen the Velcro there. I use them three times a week for five months and just wash them off when they get dirty and let them air dry in the back of my car. All the seams still look tight, the velcro still works great and I'll buy them again when they wear out, but I'm not seeing that for a long time. Thank you Back on Track for such a great product! These boots have really helped my horse with further leg injury issues and he doesn't mind wearing them at all.
