This item is not intended for starting a fire but is extremely useful for quickly switching from a small to medium/large fire. It does this by concentrating the exhaled oxygen into a very small outlet that you can place directly on the flame. This way, instead of blowing on the fire and wasting most of the air on the sides, you direct all the air exactly where it's needed. Pros: Durability: It's basically a retractable metal straw that's pretty hard to bend/break. unless you abuse it. It's not for moving logs, just blowing air. - Portable: It's small and light enough to be part of my backpack. - Price: I've seen them for about the same price but this is the first 2 pack I've had. seen it so i bought a couple for a great price. Cons - No Safety Message: There was no safety message on the box saying something along the lines of "DO NOT BLOW WHILE OTHER END IS ON FIRE". It seems like common sense, but we're talking "could kill you" consequences here. Overall, this is a great product at a great price. Whether starting a fire in the country or speeding up the process in a fire pit, I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys having a good time around a campfire.
