All this time we were taking my wife's Civic to a dealership for an oil change. During this Covid19 thing I decided to give it a try. First, the car is low and the oil drain plug faces the rear of the car. After trying to remove the oil filter for almost 45 minutes using various tools, 3-way gripper, wrench, strap wrench, I was never able to remove it. Damn trader. Before actually damaging the filter, I decided to just order a Motivx oil wrench and do it later. Well he went in and after 5 seconds the oil filter came loose with very little effort. Used the same ratchet, nothing fancy but this tool holds up like no other. I thought some of the reviews were exaggerated but now I think so. What's really good is that the tool sticks to the filter so I don't need two hands when changing my son's Suzuki oil filter. If you've even worked on the Grand Vitara, you know what I'm talking about. A contortionist is who you're supposed to be. I can't recommend it highly enough. I just wish I had it sooner. This tool should remove almost any oil filter in its size range. 2 fingers up!
