The EasySMX wired controller screams like an alternative Xbox 360 controller, with some things you like , and some things you don't like. In the hands, it feels about the same in weight and alignment. The buttons have a clickier feel compared to the comfortable, steady soft-click of a true Microsoft 360 wired controller (full disclosure from my personal perspective, not sure if I like it more or not). I really like the rubber grips on the left and right side. If your hands start to sweat a little, I find the EasySMX controller to be much more comfortable to hold. While the side buttons feel nice, the analog sticks are underwhelming. I'm not a big fan of how they feel or how slippery they are under my thumbs. Better grips would be desirable (and you can buy grips relatively cheaply). The problem with buying grips is that by the time you do, they're close to the cost of the 360 controller you just bought, but read on. emulates a 360 controller in feel (mostly) and looks, it doesn't work with Xbox 360. It does work with PS3 though... So if you have a PS3 but want that Xbox feel, here you are! and i would like to have different pc gamepads so the older ps3 compatibility means little to me but be careful before you buy it if you buy it for the (also outdated) xbox 360 you'll be a sad panda since it doesn't work on your 360. Weight and Construction: It's a few grams lighter than the same weight as the 360 controller, making it pretty accurate in construction... I mention this because I've had my fair share of cheaper gamepads in the $8-$10 range that have just looked...cheap...because they were. Durability is top-notch and quality is on par with a true 360 controller that I've used quite successfully. I would like to point out that there are two different weights listed on Revain. One of these could be a USB cable. 220g or about 7.7oz and 8.8oz or about 250g Full Disclosure I have not weighed in any way to confirm this. I only tested in the real world by holding the 360 controller in one hand and the EasySMX controller in the other. Installation is pretty easy (at least from a PC perspective). I plugged it in and it was good to go. Everything worked fine and as intended. There is a turbo button, but I've never used a turbo button. If this is a selling feature for you, please. For me, this is comparable to the 360° controller, which I love very much. Standing the test of time is important to me. I've had controllers in the past that were poorly finished and of poor construction (especially the analog sticks) and I can say that I don't feel the same about the EasySMX gamepad. The only recommendation I would make would be to drop the price to around $15 or go with better quality grips. I think this could make it a more competitive alternative to the actually licensed wired Xbox 360 controller, especially since there is no 360 compatibility. The bestseller is ZD T Wired at almost the same price as EasySMX. Just food for thought.
