Review on Nilight Driving Offroad Lighting Warranty Lights & Lighting Accessories by John Baker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good light, there are small nuances.

Bought this light for my ATV. Before you buy this, you must understand that this is a Chinese product. It's not a Rigid Industries light that can withstand being run over by a car or submerged under 10,000 miles of water for half an hour. But that's okay, because in the real world, you probably won't grossly overestimate the durability of this flashlight. On a quad, this thing faces serious bullying. It was through mud, heavy rain and lots of snow. It works perfectly in temperatures from -10*F to 90*F. I have used my quad for plowing in winter (which was mostly very late at night or very early in the morning) and it has never let me down. However, there are some problems. Nothing serious, but I decided to point it out to her. First the mounting hardware. For some reason, the screws always seem to come loose, but a little threadlocker can fix this problem. The screws that come with the kit aren't long enough to go through anything thicker than .25" so I had to buy a few. The bolts that attach the bar to the brackets were different lengths, so I had to put multiple washers on top of one. out of them. The grooves on it, designed to ensure it doesn't move, make vertical aiming difficult. I'd rather see some kind of friction plate. One last thing to note: this rod is NOT 120W. I measured a current draw of 5.6A on a regulated 12V power supply. As a result, this bar delivers about 67.2W, not 120W. Quad power limitations, I'd rather have a 70W draw rather than 120W, because that means I have more room for other accessories :) Overall a perfect light for my application, it puts out a TON of light and seems pretty solid at $33 I paid for it and passed my "torture test" one Real world durability test. 02/14/2018: I decided to give a little update. I've had it for over two and a half years now and it hasn't let me down. The light output is still excellent, the LEDs have not burned out and no water has entered. I am amazed at the durability of such a cheap flashlight.
