We have a medium sized Sony HD flat screen TV with clearly mediocre sound from the built in (rear) speakers. While this has been tolerated for years, recent TV viewing spurs us on to look for an easy upgrade at a reasonable price. This one-piece Klipsch soundbar is easy to install, offers excellent connectivity and includes the most important state-of-the-art controls (with remote control). . We use the Sony analog audio output, but I also tested the audio using my iPhone as the music source via the Bluetooth input. In terms of music, the overall sound of the Klipsch is good given its size and comfort. It's a fairly modest sound, with slightly compressed dynamics and minimal distortion at the moderate volumes I've heard. Bass is limited (as expected), but still present and sufficient for basic music enjoyment. For typical TV sound, Klipsch is even better suited. We merely added the "Surround Sound" and "Conversational Speech" improvements suggested in other reviews, resulting in excellent dialogue intelligibility at a comfortable volume.
