The internal speakers of the TV in my bedroom weren't very good

I just bought a set of Klipsch surround speakers for my living room TV and I love them. The TV in my bedroom is smaller and I just didn't think the surround sound system would fit the TV or the space, so I found this soundbar from Klipsch. I had to move the TV to put the bar on the stand in front of it but other than that it settled very well and then I turned on the TV and the sound from this Klipsch soundbar was very different. . The TV itself has a great picture but now the sound is great…

Not what you'd expect from Klipsch

Bought because of the Klipsch name. Very disappointed. The sound is okay for a budget soundbar, but that's not what you'd expect from this company. The internal "subwoofers" are nothing more than an additional set of speakers. There is no low range at all. At low volume it sounds just about acceptable. Anything more than subtle volume starts to sound like a cheap speaker. I think if you want a name on your wall that's fine. Also, you can get the same if not better sound quality from an…

Good solid TV sound solution

We have a medium sized Sony HD flat screen TV with clearly mediocre sound from the built in (rear) speakers. While this has been tolerated for years, recent TV viewing spurs us on to look for an easy upgrade at a reasonable price. This one-piece Klipsch soundbar is easy to install, offers excellent connectivity and includes the most important state-of-the-art controls (with remote control). . We use the Sony analog audio output, but I also tested the audio using my iPhone as the music source…

  • Great for a small home

  • Good but not great

I don't get bad reviews.

I really don't know where the bad reviews are coming from. Maybe people think they can spend $150 and get a cinema quality surround sound system? Not sure, but if you're looking for a quality system just to upgrade your TV's built-in speakers, then this is it! I've had both Sony and Bose soundbars in the past, specifically the Bose 5 and Klipsch which I think are much better. As long as you use it with surround setup and dialogue setup at the same time, you shouldn't be satisfied. I bought it…

Hard to hear dialogue - too much bass

I have a Vizio TV with very weak internal speakers. I got this soundbar so we didn't have to use subtitles anymore. Unfortunately, with a built-in subwoofer and no equalizer, this is no less of a problem. When the volume is high enough to hear dialogue, the bass is so high that it drowns out everything else in the perception. Dialogue mode helps, but the bass is still TOO POWERFUL to deliver clear, easy-to-understand dialogue and, in some cases, harder to hear than TV speakers. For testing I…

Ideal for music via Bluetooth. Good to excellent for movies

First of all, the sound quality. At 100-120 Hz there is an additional resonance that is definitely coming from the body. This makes (as many others have said) somewhat muffled dialogue when watching movies. It's definitely not bad where you don't see the dialogue, but it's definitely there. There's enough bass to add interest to a movie, or a horror movie to make you jump when the house is quiet. I think I bought it on sale which was a good reason to buy it. I don't have room for a home theater

Good for the money: Home Audio

First complaint with Klipsch. Why is this the best standalone soundbar you sell separately? I have a 12" subwoofer and I don't have to pay $400 for a better soundbar with an 8" subwoofer that I don't need. And I connected this soundbar to an amazing system with a headphone cable. Why? Because you've hooked up an HDMI connection to something that has a disposable 8-inch subwoofer. I don't like spending $120 for no reason, sorry. So here I am with a 4k setup and this center channel is connected…
