Review on ScyllaDB by Bruce Saywon
Good for running SQL-like operations across various data sources
The management console makes it very easy t run queries quickly against large datasets (5TB). Nothing really comes immediately when considering this product over others such MySQL or MongoDb etc.. Just because ScyldB does not get enough recognition. I believe compared other open source products like these two which are widely used all around us currently where ever we go at least if you know what i mean. The only downside will be having access control enabled with your keyspace configuration but apart from tht its good!
Pros
- Easy to use
- No hassle of managing master nodes for sharding configurations as well.
- Very fast execution time, almost 2X faster than traditional RDMBS's using native drivers in java/nodejs languages while also providing an ease of use experience without any additional dependencies required unlike cassandra & mongodb.
